Flood Risk Check

Check flood risk levels and active flood warnings for any postcode in England. Enter a full postcode to see risk assessments and current alerts.

About this data

Flood risk and warning data is sourced from the Environment Agency, the public body responsible for managing flood risk in England. The data includes active flood warnings, flood alerts, and severe flood warnings for the area around the searched postcode.

Flood risk levels are derived from the severity and proximity of active warnings. A “Very Low” rating indicates no current warnings or alerts within 2km. The Environment Agency monitors river levels, rainfall, tidal conditions, and groundwater to issue warnings.

For detailed flood maps, reservoir risk, and long-term flood risk assessments, visit the Environment Agency flood information service.
