Crime Data

Search crime data by postcode. Enter a postcode to see recorded crimes, category breakdowns, and how your area compares. Data is sourced from the police.uk open data API.

About this data

Crime data is sourced from the police.uk open data API, which provides street-level crime and outcome data for England, Wales, and Northern Ireland. The data is published monthly by the Home Office in partnership with local police forces.

Crime locations are anonymised to the nearest point on a street, so the exact location shown may not be where the crime occurred. Data is typically published 2–3 months after the reporting period.

Categories include anti-social behaviour, burglary, criminal damage and arson, drugs, vehicle crime, violent crime, and others as defined by the Home Office counting rules.

Contains public sector information published by police.uk under the Open Government Licence v3.0.
